About Me
Hi, my name is Ken Simmester, I’ve lived and worked in and around Hull all my life. I'm married to the wonderful Elaine, have 3 kids and 3.9 grandkids. I’ve been a photographer since I was 10 years old, when my dad foolishly showed me how to use his prized Halina 35mm camera. Since then I’ve invested a kings ransom in my obsession to create the perfect image.
Over the years I’ve tried almost all types of photography and am very seldom without a camera. I snapped my way through innumerable film cameras before going digital in 2001. I'm a strong believer that even though the computer allows a greater control over the image than a darkroom ever did, but the real artistry is performed behind the camera not the PC. Having said that, my computer skill have grown along with my camera skills and I do sometimes surprise even myself by what I can create with photoshop and a good image.
I created the PICTORI and PASS AND SHOOT websites to take the pain out of fulfilling customer orders (both for the customer and myself)
I can accommodate almost any type of photography, so whatever you need please give me a call.
